Mini-Split Installation in the Inland Empire
No ductwork required. Heating and cooling in one system.
Ductless mini-splits are the right choice for room additions, garages, older homes without ductwork, and any space where extending central HVAC isn’t practical. A single-zone installation in the Inland Empire typically runs $2,500 to $4,500 installed — an all-in price covering the equipment, labor, lineset, electrical disconnect, and startup.
Every mini-split we install is a heat pump — providing both cooling and heating in a single system. Qualifying systems are eligible for the federal IRA tax credit of up to $2,000. We handle the permit and city inspection as part of the installation. Licensed CA LIC# 1140776.

Mini-split vs. central AC for the Inland Empire: For homes with existing ductwork in good condition, central AC is usually more cost-effective per square foot. Mini-splits win when there’s no ductwork, the space is a room addition or detached structure, or you want zone-level temperature control without duct modifications.
When a Mini-Split Is the Right Choice
Room Additions & ADUs
Room additions and ADUs rarely have access to the home's existing duct system. A ductless mini-split is the cleanest solution — no ductwork to run through finished walls, no capacity strain on the main HVAC system, and independent temperature control for the new space.
Garages & Detached Structures
Garages, workshops, and detached casitas in the Inland Empire see brutal summer temperatures. A mini-split provides both cooling and heating in a single system, with no ductwork required and minimal wall penetration. Single-zone systems are ideal for these applications.
Older Homes Without Ductwork
Many older Inland Empire homes were built before central air was standard and never had ductwork installed. Retrofitting ductwork into a finished home is invasive and expensive. A multi-zone mini-split system can condition the entire home through a single outdoor unit with multiple indoor heads — no duct work required.
Zone Control in Existing Homes
In homes where one zone is always too hot or too cold, a mini-split can supplement the main system rather than replacing it. A single-zone unit targeting the problem room eliminates the hot-bedroom-in-summer problem without modifying the existing HVAC.

Our Installation Process
Site Assessment & Quote
We assess the space, identify the outdoor unit location, determine lineset routing, and evaluate electrical requirements. Single-zone quotes are typically provided the same day as the assessment.
Permit
California requires a permit for mini-split installation. We handle the permit application and inspection scheduling.
Installation Day
Indoor head mounted, outdoor unit placed, lineset run and connected, electrical disconnect installed, refrigerant charged. Most single-zone installations complete in 4–8 hours.
Startup & Training
We test full cooling and heating operation, verify refrigerant charge, and walk you through the remote and any app controls. Manufacturer warranty registered on your behalf.
